Will we ever be able to take our country back from the reigns

I know a girl who currently finishes her PhD in geology, so she's not exactly stupid. She's 28, single, and has absolutely no idea what to do after getting the hat. She doesn't want to stay at the Uni and teach nor going to an energy company and get filthy rich, she just wants to settle down now that her oh-so-desired three letters are in her pocket. Problem is: there's no candidate. Her standards high, she won't go with Chad and all the like-minded males in her age, even the "nice guy" turbonerds, are in long-term relationships or engaged/married even. She's spiralling down to depression rapidly and my best bet is that she'll either become a crazy cat lady or commit suicide by the age of 35.
