The turning point was when we starting PRETENDING nonwhites are equal to whites. They are not our equals, obviously. We invented everything and they invented nothing.
The most pernicious kind of racism by far is the kind where we pretend unequal things are equal to appease inferiors at the expense of truth and our own survival.

Obama. Before then, the Democrat party believed they had to pretend they believed in certain conservative ideas and appeal to the white working class which had been their voter base from FDR until Reagan. That was the essence of "Clintonism" and they believed it was their best shot at winning national elections.
When Obama was RE-elected after driving a hard left hate-whitey agenda, Democrats figured why bother with pretending to be Republicans when you could just insult them? After all, all the demographic trends were in their favor.
