To add insult to injury, all "President" Trump did in Texas was stroke his massive ego and small dick simultaneously in a speech reminiscent to one from Nazi Germany.

Texas deserves all of this, by the way. Red areas were hit the hardest. Guess that young small government woo paid off!!!

The gas price picture has been debunked. The store had lost power and when it came back, no one was there to reset the prices. 8.76 is the setting the computer defaults too, and thats why they are all the same number.

Price gouging may be immoral, but it's necessary to allocate scarce resources in times of need. I'd rather pay $35 for a gallon of gas than go without gas entirely.

It's better to be exploited than starve. Therefore if it comes down to it, letting exploitative transactions happen is the least bad option.

I don't get it, how is it not obvious to everyone that Capitalism is terrible for not just most people, but for the planet and the future of humanity. Why are even poor and stupid people defending it? They're the ones being exploited the most. The social conditioning and brainwashing we are capable of as humans is incredible. I guess there's the whole religion thing too, so I guess it's not that surprising.

Competition and capital accumulation is sufficient to get rid of most exploitation. And to make it clear, the historical record of capitalism and socialism should speak for itself.

I'm not saying socialism should replace capitalism. I'm just saying capitalism sucks. If I were to suggest a viable economic system it would be something akin to a Resource-Based Economy or a heavily modified form of capitalism that included UBI and drastically different incentive structures.

What happens when all the means of production become centralised enough that a small group of collaborators control the majority of the world's wealth? I believe we are nearing this point, or possibly even there yet. This singularity seems an inevitable consequence of the free market to me. Holdings corps acquire enough wealth they can literally purchase the entire wealth producing markets.

>>139608971
the singularity discussed was actually a financial singularity where jews get exponentially richer while everyone else gets poorer and poorer until the whole world is debt-enslaved to the jews and they use their wealth to buy off the governments who subjugate people instead of allowing bankruptcy and telling the kikes to rot in hell because muh capitalism

Capitalism is better than Communism because it, fundamentally, rejects equality. Inequality is a moral good.

Wealth has historically followed a Pareto distribution. 80% of the wealth is controlled by 20% of the people, 80% of 80% (64%) is controlled by 20% of 20% (4%) and so on. The same distribution can be found in many other places, including workplace productivity. My point is not to justify such a distribution, just to show that it doesn't indicate a prima facie injustice.

Big business is corrupt and slow; the future is promising for small businesses that adapt quickly and effectively to their customers' needs, while using merit and not nepotism to hire employees. The break-up of cartels and banks is the only way we can move forward.

>be anon

High prices indicate to the market that they should supply more of the stuff that is demanded. It's actually the most effective remedy to catastrophe we have.

>be gubment
>no price gouging!
>no supplies come
>>
>>139604057
High prices encourage people to bring supplies in. I'd rather pay $20 for water than have no water.

So the people in a hurricane have 2 choices:

1. Pay high prices for supplies because people are risking death to bring it to them on boats or trailers.

2. Starve to death because no one in his right mind is going to transport all that shit and lose money and life.

There are government supplies too, but if private supplies are so high in price it means gov supplies aren't enough and private resources are needed to fill the gap between available and necessary goods.

Capitalism doesn't suck on itself, it is merely extrapolation of natural instincts.

Problems begin when some people believe they can apply harsh rules to anyone but themselves aka Wall Street and other fagggots
>>
Realistically, you need to consider. If that water is $100 per case when the guy shows up who needs it so desperately he is willing to pay it, there it is. Your way- when he shows up, it ain't there any more. ANy more education you would like?
>>
>>139604057
Lol should have been prepared. If you live ANYWHERE that has even a slight chance for weather to go full retard you should have at least a 3 day supply of food and water per person in your residence.

Do this and when people go full Jew mode you can laugh them off.
>>
>>139604057
Take the gas and drive away. They know exactly what they are doing with that price. Even if the cops did look you up for it. Just fight it in court saying their price setter was obviously broken.
>>
But I do find it curious that folks who believe what you seem to want to blame boomers for everything that sucks now. IMHO, all that sucks now was caused by libtards over the last 40 years. While that may have been a significant fraction of boomers, enough to win elections, it was far from all boomers.

>>
>>139604057
Correctly.
Sell it cheap, then what? People will buy in bulk, then sell on a crazy markup on the black market.
Ration it and fix price? Be prepared to see lines and fights.
Raising the price to meet high demand IS the best solution.

>>139604057

Sage b8 leftpol threads.

Also the store owners who charged $40 for water were MOSLEM. Not Americans,
MOSLEMS......

and yes the gas one is false, but communist sympathizers are using it all over saying "this is capitalism, gouping people when the government should be doing it".
