I my experience (have been going to university for about 9 years now) it does indeed make you a better person. At least if you're in STEM. Teaches the scientific method and structured thinking. Logical reasoning.
But on the flip side I am in massive debt to the government because of it (€50K or so) which will take decades to pay off.
Not saying I regret going to university, but that debt is problematic.

No idea what it's like in non-STEM areas, but I hear bad things.

I went to a good but extremely politically active (see feminist and socialist) university to study biology.

I rented a flat and make friends with a few people then shared a house with them.

I got handed flyers but that's about it.
University's are in cities just stop hanging around campus like a faggot and enjoy the city.

I'm somewhat unsure about the matter. On the one hand there is the problem of people, who are now going to college, but aren't suited for it. Then there is the problem of student debt and that many can't find a job afterwards. on the other hand there are still jobs you can only access with a degree and there is also the possibility of doing something before university and only after this start college.
