I do, because some gave their lives for the empire, same idea with the blacks on both sides of the US civil war. A shit ton of colonials died for France in WW1 from Africa, a bunch from India for the UK, not just white colonials.

But this used to be subtle, random bits of history that were more interesting to learn on a whim while reading or going to re-enactments etc. If you wanted to dedicate time to learning about it, by all means. It was still a white man's world and war.

Now it's so forced and over the top it's ridiculous. Video games, movies, TV, theatre...it's everywhere.

It's not really a "TV" license, it's for receiving live broadcast so any means of doing so would technically require you to pay.
