Then there's the fact that he helped create and spread the Napoleonic Code and the ideals of the French Revolution, which is what led to the creation of various modern nation-states down the line. He planted the seeds that eventually became Germany and Italy; without Napoleon it's not unreasonable to think that it would have taken several more decades for those nations to form, if at all, and probably under drastically different circumstances (a Großdeutschland under Austria, perhaps).

It also helps that he wasn't staggeringly incompetent.

1) Because he never had to meaningfully interact with them. They were on the other side of the planet in a region that Germany had no ability to project power into.

2) Speaking of, because the Japanese COULD project power into the Far East, threatening British, French, Soviet, and eventually American holdings. Hitler's pipe-dream was probably something along the lines of the Japanese going to war in the Far East with the Soviet Union and drawing away huge amounts of Soviet manpower.

3) Hitler backtracked on pretty much every promise he ever made with foreign powers. There is no reason to think that he wouldn't have backtracked on his alliance with Japan, given the opportunity (though that would first require Germany an Japan to gain overlapping concerns - SEE 3)

4) After December 7th 1941, Hitler knew that America was probably going to be gunning for Germany at some point in the near future anyway, and so probably regarded his Declaration of War against America as simply formalizing an inevitable situation (in fact, American opinion was still decidedly mixed about whether or not to get involved in Europe; Congress had only declared war on Japan, it was Hitler's DoW that formally pushed America into Europe).

5) Hitler may have genuinely believed some bullshit about "purity of race" and thought that the Japanese represented said purity. Hitler was a man who honestly thought that genetics is what wins wars - i.e., because the Japanese are pure and the Americans are mongrels, the Japanese will win.

6) Hitler was woefully uninformed on Japanese history. When Japan attacked America, Hitler is known to have said something to the effect of "we can't lose now. We now have on our side a race that has not lost a war in 1,000 years." Evidently he'd never heard of Yi Sun-shin and the first Japanese invasion of Korea. Or the Baekje-Tang War. Or the Bombardment of Tagoshima. Or the Siberian Intervention.

he was out to destroy all that is not his french.
inlist by force into his disposable foreign army or pay unpayable wartax non-french people.
put war and occupation mayors who hated the population they had to put their boot on with ruthless governance.
killing and executing a population is easier than uphold a humanist law.
you where persequted more ruthlessly if you didn't agree the french way than than the katolic inquisition ever did to european people.
he hated everything and everyone, questionnend everyone and suspicious about averyone and everything around him, a psychotic, dictatorial little manlet with his eternal ulsure eating him up.
the whole world hated him, he was the downfall of european economics and trade because spies everywhere, agents everywhere as a result everyone was afraid to do anything. just like the inquisition actually.
