A Pidgin is what happens when a language gets simplified and has elements added from a second due to contact between two groups who have no time to learn eachothers language. BBC figured, they should write articles for people who speak this particular pidgin. But of course they went full retard and decided that if you're not literate in english, you should still be able to recognize most English words spelled, not phonetically according to the pidgins pronunciation, but exactly as they appear in English proper, the language you're not litterate in.
