told you leftists. your own monster is coming back to bite you in the ass.

us big bad evil conservatives try to tell you that corporate america isn't your friend and you just call us "nazis" for it. when will you ever learn that despite how evil and horrible you are, we are genuinely, ACTUALLY looking out for your interests too while you larp as people who want to murder us??

if we lose, we ALL lose. if leftists win, they only win their own extinction.

what does /leftypol/ have to say about this?

>>
cleetus have you mowed the lawn yet today?

>ACTUALLY looking out for your interest
you cant even look out for your own self interest if you vote for a billionaire who has absolutely zero incentive to help the working class out
>>
>>139320078
typical. nothing to say about what is happening though, right? just "hurrr durrrrr ur white and from the south, so i don't like and am gonna call you names".

ok. but your political ideology is being censored now too, in ways different but just as bad as ours. don't you recognize the importance of freedom of speech now? do you understand you're at the mercy of the most powerful corporation and singular political entity in the world? and they've decided that you're just as guilty of "wrongthink" as we are?

you don't have any rational point here, huh? google isn't your friend kid. you better start looking to hold them just as accountable as we are. you better start supporting sites like stormer and stormfront, because it's exactly as we told you when they took them down. IF THEY CAN DO IT TO US, THEY CAN, AND WILL, DO IT TO YOU
>>
>>139319782

boo hoo
>>
>>139320603
wow, holy fucking "not an argument".
you're the second guy to respond now, and you don't have any points or anything reasonable to say about this? these people just decided to censor your political views. do you not understand now when the conservatives you hate so badly tell you that you're just acting as a "useful idiot" to these big corporations? and that they don't really give a shit about you or your ideology? do you understand? or do you just wanna keep saying "hurrr durrr, cleetus and nazis".

basically you're only proving to me that you're really just driven by blind hate to white america. and as long as you get to hate and call us names and physically hurt us, you're fine with whatever else happens.

There is almost as much idiotic drivel coming from the left as from the echo-chambers of the right.

The internet is failing us, by enabling the stupid and ignorant to surround themselves only with further stupidity and ignorance. The right is better at exploiting it than the left, but both do it. and it needs to stop.

This is a responsible corporate entity making an ethical decision.

Someone always makes decisions about what information you receive, if it is not experienced first-hand.

You have to decide who to trust to do that. I know that you believe that having all possible sources available to you allows you to think that you therefore decide, yourself, which too trust.

But that's not how human brains function. All that does is drown out the accurate beneath waves of the waves of the eye-catching and the loud.

It's why /pol/ has so many retards able to believe in conspiracy theories because "I saw an infographic!" Because it was easy to digest and eye-catching, and accurate information is more complex, longer, and harder to learn. And that's why it's a good idea to stop the bumper-sticker people from being allowed to purvey themselves as journalists.

We need more regulations on information--not fewer.

And yes: it's easy to scream "but that's a slippery slope!" And it is. But slippery slope arguments are fallacious. Yes: too much of something is bad. None of it at all is, too.

it's amazing how you can learn about something like this and still resort to the same old gaslighting, goalpost moving, and conversational misdirection tactics that libtards always resort to. like it's amazing that you can see this and say anything other than "wow, you're right. we do need to protect our rights to political discourse from big business". it's just truly amazing.

>This is a responsible corporate entity making an ethical decision.
ethical decision? are you fucking serious? they're censoring opinions and beliefs that aren't in their best interests. it's exactly as conservatives have been trying to tell libtards and lefties for years now, and especially recently.

if you sit by and let them censor us, and give up your rights to freedom of speech, and free discourse, and the free dissemination of information, it will only be a matter of time before they come for you too.

you all should have been smart enough to see the con. to see that they had to use ONE side of the political spectrum to set their precedent, because if they attacked both at once it would have been too much of a PR issue, and legislation would have been passed.

but no. you've always got to be empty, vacant morons who are fueled by nothing but hatred for others.

you really think google is going to let your socialist ideas float around on the internet? hahahah no, they've pretty much just proven that behind the scenes they are fully married to capitalism, just like every CORPORATION is, you moron. god, i don't understand how you people could be THAT stupid. to fall for a con THAT plainly obvious. thinking that CORPORATIONS would ever support communism or socialism. fucking retards.why don't you just wake up and get with it? start being decent humans. if that's even in you.

A slippery slope fallacy is committed when you present the argument that one step along a path necessarily results in all possible future steps along the same path.

It is the argument that you are making.

And it is fallacious.
>>
>>139321569
slippery slopes are not fallacies. i don't know where you're getting that or why you would say such a thing. slippery slopes are very real, 100% demonstrably true things. tell jews in your hated nazi germany that slippery slopes weren't a thing when germany slowly stripped them of their rights.

or all of the victims of communism in your beloved stalinist russia. or in maos china. to say "slippery slopes arent a thing" is a historically and politically ignorant thing to say. it's an empty platitude and a provably incorrect one.

>>
>>139321747
>slippery slopes are not fallacies. i don't know where you're getting that or why you would say such a thing. slippery slopes are very real,
Incorrect. The slippery slope fallacy you are relying on is called a continuum fallacy.

It is possible to invoke a slippery slope that is not fallacious.

What you have argued for, however, is.

You have stated: "X thing was censored. Therefore Y thing will necessarily be censored in the same way."

That is a continuum fallacy.

Your argument is fallacious.

>>139321857
Incorrect. It is not necessarily a fallacies. Once you say "doing X thing along a spectrum results in doing Y thing along that spectrum," however, it is a fallacy.

No, calling private censorship censorship is not a false analogy. Moreover given the market power of Google, its intentionally rigging the page rank of establishment media sources to harm competitors is an abuse of its power, which is the entire point of doing it.
Moreover there is no crying about the slippery slope of censorship being an informal fallacy, as there is substantial evidence of even the mistaken belief of something being censored ("yelling fire in a crowded theatre") being used to justify further regulation of speech.

you're looking at the 100% physical proof that google wants to destroy your political ideology and everything you believe in, and all you want to do is defend google and try to paint this as a "slippery slope thing" (when slippery slope is not a "logical fallacy" in any way to begin with)?

they don't understand that. all they understand are words and letters and bureaucracy. they're simply minded fools and the concept you're talking about is too abstract and requires too much thinking.

leftists operate in a way where they need to be TOLD something bluntly and blatantly, in an authoritative fashion by a person in authority, otherwise they don't believe it. they can't think on thier own or arrive at conclusions on their own, and they can't deal in abstract concepts like that.

I'm throwing in on this, leftists can burn in hell but you could use a libertarian to referee I guess.

>they are all here defending google and defending the people who are fucking actively censoring them and trying to subvert their political ideology

To be fair, Google is probably the most leftist company that's ever existed and also been successful to such a powerful degree.

Since tech companies themselves are of a highly libertarian streak they have been careful with the power of censorship so far but it looks like that's changing as they disavow the federal government more and more. Fake news and cloudflare started an avalanche of technocracy moving farther toward the ruling class.

I'm ok with technocracy as long as they stay married to meritocracy but lefty scum is destroying that.

This shit that they all parrot (and they didn't even come up with it themselves but XKCD did and that shitty cartoon about a door) is garbage.

It's garbage because there is no distinction between censorship when a company owns all the stages or a government.

Who cares if the boot on your neck has an eagle or a rainbow faggot Google Doodle? Gibson's future is almost here. We'll see Google or someone hire an armed militia soon to keep them safe from anti-fags and scary neo nazis as the cops stand by doing nothing.
