you know what OP? truly in 2007 it did seem that all of the worlds problems were not that important. there was no need to concern yourself with politics or world affairs. america seemed to be more or less "post racial". everyone could do and say what they wanted. jobs were fairly plentiful. country was still overwhelmingly white. it was good. it was all good.

it was too good.

people got too comfortable, thought they could elect a nigger president and that he would look out for their interests. it was truly as case of "good times creating weak men". they fucked up bad.

and he came along and fucking ruined everything. obama fucking created the situation you see today, it's the truth.

i didnt vote for him. i was against bush, and the war in iraq, and i did think much of obamas rhetoric (which was not openly socialist rhetoric at the time, BTW) was "correct". getting out of iraq, not havign needless wars and having "the most open and transparent administration in history" seemed like good things. then he didn't keep a single one of those promises though, other than to get out of iraq, but he did it in a way that basically allowed for the creation of ISIS.

i didn't trust him though. didn't trust him or mccain. i had just turned 21 and i went down to the casino to gamble on election night. good move on my part, because both of those candidates were cancer. i almost wouldn't be able to live with myself if i had voted for him.
