>staged assassination plot

>In 1999, undercover MCSO deputies arrested James Saville, then 18 years old, and charged him with plotting to kill Arpaio with a pipe bomb. A local television station had been tipped off to the arrest by the MCSO, and broadcast footage of the arrest that evening. The MCSO held a news conference shortly after the arrest, and Arpaio appeared in interviews on local television stations, saying "If they think they are going to scare me away with bombs and everything else, it's not going to bother me."[127]
After spending four years in jail awaiting trial, Saville was about to sign a plea deal that would have sent him to prison for 20 years. Although he maintained his innocence, he was initially unwilling to take a chance on being given an even longer sentence if convicted. However, the former head of undercover investigations for the MCSO called Saville's legal team with a bombshell -- based on his review of the case, he felt that Saville had been entrapped. Although entrapment is all but impossible to prove in most jurisdictions, Saville's attorneys eventually discovered that MCSO detectives had bought the bomb parts themselves, then convinced Saville to build it even though he was not predisposed to commit such a crime. On July 9, 2003, a Maricopa County Superior Court jury acquitted Saville, finding that the bomb plot was an elaborate publicity stunt to boost Arpaio's reelection bid.[128]

He enforced the law, and targeted what he thought were the most heinous of criminals (illegal alien violent crime, organized crime, and violent drug offenders). In doing so he upset some activist groups who sued him and eventually the guy was found in contempt of court.

TL;DR: he got screwed because liberal Jews came out to defend their vote pets.

>>
>>139145692
To your first question: I don't really think about it.
To your second question: How would I know. As I understand it, he butted heads with a federal judge over hunting down criminals too well. Seems like he didn't deserve to conviction.
To your third: This is literally one of his powers. How and why he uses it is not my concern. There are no limits on it, or built-in caveats, as far as I know.
>>
>>139147949
Yes, because the previous administration took the state of Arizona to court because they were attempting to enforce federal law. It basically came down to the federal government not wanting to do its job (which is somehow legal) and the state of arizona not allowed to do something the only federal government has the authority to do.

Much as I may enjoy seeing spics suffer, he clearly structured his camp toward "cruel and unusual punishment" (i.e. the pink underwear). A friend's brother did 6 months there and he singles out Whites for worst treatment since he believes they shouldn't be there.

My main issue with it is that when you live in a ZOG and in ten years we won't be a majority, the Jews will use it on us for "hate speech." Same reason I want the death penalty abolished. Not going to be used on niggers in future, will be reserved for us.

There is perhaps another more important reason establishment went after him, especially the Obama DoJ. He exposed Obama's birth certificate as being fraudulent.

Arpaio was a flagrant violator of peoples civil rights and should have went down who used ends justify the means tactics. Worse, the dude was just an outright sadist that got his rocks off to seeing criminals suffer. From a pragmatic perspective, the dude wasted so much of his counties money by being an absolute lawsuit magnet that he simply wasn't worth the cost. He's a sadist who kept people waiting for trial in inhumanely hot conditions because MUH BOYS IN IRAQ ARE SUFFERING TOO! He doesn't believe in civil rights, doesn't treat people with dignity if he thinks he's above them, and is so obsessed with his tough sheriff persona and publicity he doesn't give a fuck about keeping his head down and being an effective lawman. He is a caricature of everything wrong with a conservative minded man.

Trump was wrong to get involved, and the man deserved a taste of his own medicine. However, at the end of the day, he was charged with a misdemeanour, and this is being blown out of proportion, if you really stand against everything Sheriff Joe was, you shouldn't care about him getting his just desserts, you should just be happy he's gone.

I can explain it to you clearly. In the Michigan recount, 2/3 of Detroit precincts couldn't be recounted because the vote totals didn't match the ballots. One box that was opened and examined had been officially counted as containing 306 votes for Clinton. It contained only 50 ballots. Multiply Detroit's cheating nigger Democrat poll workers times every city in America and Clinton easily had millions of fraudulent votes. And that's not counting the millions of non-citizens who voted.

He profiled anyone who looked hispanic, and his jails were run like a concentration camp. 160 people died inside them, and he ignored a lot of sexual assault claims that he got.

Then when reporters tried to investigate them he tried to get them arrested, while destroying evidence.

I mean shit, even if he were dead set at hurting McCain, there HAS to have been a better way than this. Because as much as it may or may not help him in Arizona, it hurts him in a lot of the rest of the country, and when people in a state or district don't like Donald, they're not going to want their representative to make deals with him.

Waste of money. Bullets are cheaper. Death row lasting 20+ years was a mistake.

I would execute the murderers and rapists, but some of the prisoners might return a net gain in physical labor. We should have them do public service and build highways, etc. like Southern chain gangs used to do.

>is it ok?

Article II, Section 2 of the United States Constitution states that the President "shall have power to grant reprieves and pardons for offenses against the United States, except in cases of impeachment". The U.S. Supreme Court has interpreted this language to include the power to grant pardons, conditional pardons, commutations of sentence, conditional commutations of sentence, remissions of fines and forfeitures, respites, and amnesties.

Obama pardoned over 200 people including felons, and commuted the sentence of over 1000 people. Including felons. Its been done by every president so don't cry about it now.

Arpaio was sentenced and put in jail for Contempt of Court, which isn't even a crime. The Court had ordered him to stop doing his job the way he was doing it, because the way he was doing his job was 'mean' and offended people.

Political correctness is a disease. Pattern recognition is a built in trait of all humans, to give us an edge in survival. It's a warning system, from generational experiences. When your muscles lock up as you walk by a group of niggers, that's your body telling you not to relax around them.

If animals learn behaviors through their genetic coding, then so do humans. This is called instinct.

the judge breaks the law when he or she orders a sheriff to stop enforcing the duly enacted laws passed by the representatives of the American people in Congress.
Let me give you another example. When the Federal judges in Washington State and Hawaii issued temporary restraining orders against Trump's travel ban, they broke the law. Those judges are not immune from arrest and imprisonment. The Constitution and the US Code specifically give the President plenary power in matters of National security. That means National security is none of the courts' fucking business. Judges are not allowed nor are they competent to interfere in matters of National security. Those judges, if we had an actual real country, would have been arrested and jailed. Judges are not infallible gods.
>>
>>139161497
>There's not enough work for the population
This is not true. Just fixing all our roads and bridges would take decades, and those are currently highly paid positions. Lowering the cost of labor there would be extremely valuable. After that we could set any number of huge goals like making it so everyone gets to live in a mansion or some space shit.

Judges have been intruding on the legislative and executive branch for a long time now.

The founding fathers gave congress the power to put the judges back in their place by impeaching them or closing down, downsizing, or adding new circuits.

Modern judges act more like unelected governors than past judges.

Also, judge shopping was not a thing back when the Founding Fathers were alive. They couldn't predict automobiles or airplanes so shopping around for a judge around the country was financially impossible back then.

Not only that but there is also the problem of all it taking a single no from a federal judge despite multiple federal judges saying yes for a certain court case.

In this situation, the majority does not overrule the minority and the no is stronger than several yeses even though more judges said yes than no and then you have to appeal to a higher court because the No somehow overrides multiple yeses.

The Pardon power of the president needs to be clarified and scaled back significantly. The president should not have the ability to pardon people a part of his administration, the last administration, ex-presidents, family members, etc. and certainly not himself. Further, Congress should have to sign off on any pardon of high-level federal, state, or local officials.
>>
>>139174910
glad we're having this discussion now since you fuckwits were so quiet when black jesus did it
>>
I don't really care that an 85 year old dude was pardoned. I am more concerned about what this means for the future. Trump doesn't care about Arpaio. What this pardon looks like is he is brandishing his pardon power so that people like Manafort and Flynn get the message that he will pardon them if they keep their mouths shut and are prosecuted for contempt of court (the same crime Arpaio was found guilty of). The pardon came on the same day it was revealed that Mueller subpoenaed Flynn and Flynn's son. This is not a coincidence, nor is it a coincidence that he signed the transgender EO the same day as well. Both also serve as distractions from the Russia investigation.
>>
>>139145692
>Joe Arpaio

Joe Arpaio ignored a judge's order, which is called contempt of court. If you or I did that we would also go to jail.
Trump has shown disregard for the law.
>>
>>139175120
Should everyone engaged in civil disobedience be jailed?
>>
>>139174339
The guy was charged with contempt of court because he continued with practices which were being phased in an out by governments every 4-8 years for poltical reasons. He is facing 6 months prison time as an 85 year old who is no longer in a position to further disobey the federal court. It's not clear how much of that would be an issue now anyway since Trump has reversed much of the laws which the federal court was ruling on anyway.

Meanwhile the crypt-communists like yourself are frothing at the mouth for a series of imagined crimes which are not covered under his contempt of court conviction. Not a single one has been deemed to be substantial enough to even be tested in court. These aligations, even if true, for the most part dont actually specifically involve him. I've read many opinion peices on this issue, lefties can never really quite explain these facts. In fact, most op eds are throwing his involvement in the birther cases in against him as though it as well should influence his ineligability for a pardon.

So we have on one hand a simple case of Trump pardoning a man for a doing something that likely wouldnt be a crime now; and on the other hand we have a vicious mob calling for blood because the man has unpopular political beliefs and you imagine hes commited a bunch of other crimes that you wont bother proving.

Nigger tier concept based on flawed SJW horseshittery developed by niggers freeloading off the most successful country ever in the last decade in hopes of excusing their continued criminality.

> denied him a trial by jury, and gave him the maximum sentence she could without giving him the right to appeal

Nigger tier judge discarding concepts of freedom and basic rights by the framers that allowed the most successful nation ever to flourish and become a superpower.

Hmm I dunno, who could possibly be in the right here.

Having your ID is an adult fucking thing to do so that if you get stopped by the police or god forbid fucking pass out in the middle of the street and need an ambulance people know who you are. If you don't have an ID, and police suspect you of a crime what else can they do but detain you until they find out who you are?

Accepting a pardon is an admission of guilt. He is saying that he accepts that a court of law said he was in contempt, but fuck that court since it was a politically motivated ruling and not one based off an factual evidence.

So why cant the average american accuse the judge of politicing by ruling in a biased matter that matchs their views? See every fucking case about Trumps travel ban which cost the country millions or more. Judges should be expected to judicate the law, not jocky to make the most politically shaking ruling.

Pardon exists so people will surrender. It's a credible out for people.

>the real kicker is that the judge who sentenced him denied him a trial by jury

Probably because ruling someone in contempt of court doesn't require a trial, you fucking idiot. If you disobey the order of an office of the court, you go to jail. Period. Christ, have you never even seen Law & Order for fuck's sake?

Honestly I don't agree with it. I say that as someone who has always voted for Joe and someone who voted for trump and Obama. However I don't think its as big of a deal as the media would like to make it. Obama let manning off. I didn't agree with that and the world didn't end then either.

America operates on a common law program. That's why everything is so fucked when its combined with the idea of federalism. Everyone is sharing power and the courts have more lee-way in their rulings.

The presidents pardon is the only non-checked power in all of the government. Its designed in such a way to be so absolute and a way to provide the nation with a way to heal. It was used to pardon the draft dodgers for example to put that matter behind the U.S as an unfortunate issue.

What if the judge was a piece of shit? It seems to be the problem in this case.

That guy has no idea what he is blathering about. I live here in in phoenix Arizona. Illegals are a burden here that
The rest of the nation couldn't even imagine. We find them dead in the desert often. Their bodies just lie in the morgue until we have to bury them. They bring their women here to have babies who get birth right citizenship. They sign those babies up on welfare. And put them in the public schools. They don't teach their kids English and leave it to the schools. We have classes that are taught by one teacher to a class of 30+ kids in two different languages and the children's education suffers as a result. However that has been phased out now. But illegals steal from you while smiling to your face....literally. Sometimes they just bring their kids here and just put them in the schools. The schools won't ask for them to prove citizenship because they don't want to be "racist". They clog up the emergency rooms because they never have insurance and our emergency rooms have to take the. With no upfront coats. They never pay the hospital bills and the hospitals make up for it by charging my insurance $800 for a saline bag. They hit people with their cars all the time and they never have auto insurance so they always taken off running and abandon the car at the scene. Sheriff Joe ran them out of town. Lots left to California. I will always be grateful to Joe. He is not evil he was enforcing the federal laws.

America isn't a democracy so its irrelevant .....America is a constitutional republic where even the little groups get a meaningful voice. Democracy is little more than mob rule.

>most people don't like Arpaio, it seems

That's debatable. The people that don't like Arpaio are annoyed with him because they see him as racist against illegal immigrants, not because he did anything illegal (even if he may have at some point somewhere).

Trump pardoning Arpaio points out that he'll stand by those that are against illegal immigration which is what most Americans want.

>then he should stop trying to fight every congressmen or senator who pisses him off and focus on his job.

This is his job.

Normally congressmen try to rally behind their president because it's how they get bills passed that they want. Problem is now we have several senators that are being frank about wanting to be against their own party's president, so Trump HAS to go against those senators like McCain.

Joe Arpaio is trash, and Trump did it for entirely partisan reasons. It's also precedent as this point for presidents to abuse their veto power, so woo.
I care a lot less about a president exercising a power granted to him under the Constitution, than I do the blatant violation of privacy rights we've lived under.

There's not really any arguing it, as far as I'm aware. The judge can't just throw you in jail for contempt if you aren't guilty of it. But Arpaio clearly was, he violated the judge's order. Usually when you're found in contempt you either serve the sentence or comply with the order and are released.

To be clear, I'm not saying the judge isn't a piece of shit. And I personally see absolutely nothing wrong with racial profiling other than that it can sometimes result in "tunnel vision" when investigating certain crimes. But the fact of the matter remains that Arpaio violated the court's ruling. It's a little similar to the military. Yeah, go ahead and ignore your commanding officer's order if you really think it's fucking retarded and is going to be detrimental to the mission or whatever, but be prepared for the court martial afterwards

>>139190705
The judge was obviously out of line though, punishing the guy for enforcing the law. Contempt of court is a meme crime.
