What exactly is wrong with the system?
Speaking for western capitalism.
Is the problem inherently human, not the system?
>>
>>139127751
Any system that doesn't take into account humans will be involved is probably a terribly flawed one.
>>
>>139127751
Like in any system, human corruption and incompetence.
>>
>>139127936
this

every system based at the core on rational choice theory is flawed from the beginning. this doesn't mean that we have a better approach availabe yet though.

The problem with capitalism, coming from someone who's FOR free trade, is that it's good *when there is competition*. However, if you become like America and the government doesn't check corporations, they become too large and dominate the area they're specializing in by undercutting small businesses and/or outright buying them out. There is no way that a small business can compete with a corporation that mass produces their goods for next to nothing.
Example: Why should I spend $10 on a pie from my local bakery when I can go to Walmart and get one for $3?
See, Walmart can produce a pie for $2.50 and sell for $3 because they know they'll sell a ton of them.
If a small business tries to do the same they won't be able to foot their bills.
If corporations were kept in check, and as un-free-trade as this may sound, they were not allowed to expand into the beasts they are today, then wages would be hire, prices would drop and everyone would be more happy.

Intelligent thread so far. Let's get some commies in here to stupid it up some.

sounds like social market economy to me.
are you allowed to say that in public burgerbro?
>>
>>139127936
This. You need to take into account human behaviour of all kinds. In free market people will corrupt the market, in communism people will corrupt the State, etc.

Also, the biggest problem right now is that people can't profit directly from their goods. You can't generate currency, only a few select people can.

That means if you grow wheat some people need to normalize that product and translate it to their currency, or else you can't buy things. You're always dependant on the system and can't ever break free. You can't pay by mining useful minerals, or growing food, or creating things. You are not allowed to stablish your own living standards and set the value of your labour.

Therefore freemarket, today, doesn't exist. It's all controled and regularized so the pyramid structure prevails with few at the top and plenty at the bottom.

The only thing with socialism that is true is that the rich only get richer while the poor get poorer. But I can't really complain about it because we let it happen. I'm not saying tax the rich 90% or something because then the price of goods would skyrocket and they would just leave the US.
In all honesty, my way of what I would do is do similar to what trump is doing and cutting useless or frivolous federal programs and stop spending so much on our military but also tax the middle class much much less and focus on building up our countries standard of living instead of other counties and our military.

nothing is wrong with the ((system)) its working right for those in the know. not everybody can be rich and not everyone needs a big home... black live that work and commit no evils are the only ones that matter.
>>
>>139127751
The problem with Capitalism is it doesn't take into account human greed, just like the issue with Socialism is it doesn't take into account human corruption, Capitalism creates the best outcome for a society as human greed does less damage then government corruption in the long wrong.
>>
>>139129032
while it is true that a capitalist economy usually leads to increasing relative poverty one should not forget that absolute poverty matters as well.
so far capitalism is the perfect economic principle we know to fight absolute poverty.

>You can't generate currency, only a few select people can.

This as fuck
>>
>>139127751
People are inherently unequal.

This is why socialism / communism doesn't work.
>>
>>139129751
I do agree here.
A few must live in poverty so that the rest can live in luxury.
The problem yet again though, is that soft hearted luxury leftists want to try and help the poor by destroying the system that made them poor without realizing that, instead of making everyone live in luxury, it would just make everyone poor.

1. There's no one universal cure for cancerously growing companies, especially in IT.
2. It can be skewed by government regulations, subsidies and such.
3. Unfortunately, Jews are also in this. They know the best how to break the system.
>>
>>139127751
from what I'm understanding
>the rich aren't taxed enough so they end up amassing wealth until they cause an economic collapse where they end up forced to redistribute the wealth through higher salary and lower cost of life.
>immigration gets used to keep the population rising when natality drops would naturally end up causing the wealth redistribution as above
>foreign trade isn't taxed enough to not be discouraged causing movement of wealth away from the nation
>borderline usury
