Was 12 when this happened.

>Day finally comes when me and my family go to the KEF airport
>Mirin the building while listening to one of the Hitchhiker's Guide books on Audible(Not the original one, further down the series.)
>Get to go into the plane/jet/whatever
>Awesome
>Keep listening to Hitchhiker's until we land
>This will be fun
>Get out of the plane, cloudy day, but i'm used to cloudy days. Still feels warm and pleasant outside, though.
>Head into the airport
>Am greeted by a mostly silent airport, with the only people walking around being women in black burqas and Muslim men
>Wtf
>Women are all eeerily quiet
>Their black coverings still stress me out
>Skip forward to fun stuff
>Me and my family go the in-door water park of this resort
>Awesome!
>Get inside
>Place is filled with brown Muslims
>Feel scared for my two blonde sister's safety
>Feel disappointed because I know I won't be able to make friends with any Danes(Making friends with other kids I meet in swimming pools is a recurring thing for me)
>Try to have fun
>Manage to do so but i'm still noided the whole time
>Met some Danes outside the resort but not that far away, they were pretty cool, hung out with them for a few hours, they were natives. They told me about Denmark, I told them about Iceland, they were cool.
>The other 4 I met in Lego-land by accident. I was going on a water-ride that fit a few people that would take you through a bunch of set-pieces and I just sorta went on their ride even though I didn't know them
>They pointed it out to me but it was too late at that point, but they were chill. Not ethnic Danes, but I stilm hung out with them for the rest if the day.
>Went on my first roller-coaster ride with them
>One Dane I talked to worked at the resort. I lost some clothes and needed help finding them
>Still don't have them
>Only talked to 7 Danes in Denmark
>Saw more brown people in one place than I had my entire life
>7/10
