Why doesn't somebody intervene and stop these vermin already? Cutting down the size Denmark for livestock is utterly ridiculous - what is Brazil's government thinking?

DAS RACIS. There's no one that's going to stop the subhumans from doing great harm, because there's no one who is willing to kill them. They're just underprivileged, uneducated humans. And if we just spread some love around instead of hate, everything would be better.

We have a renewable softwood lumber industry. Cutting down huge swaths of amazon is not renewable. Deforestation of such nature also leads to monsoons and other natural calamities, as forests hold significant amounts of water, and when they're cut down this water has nowhere to go but into the atmosphere and then carried away by winds. This changes the climate as the forested land is now are drier, while others areas get wetter. Not to mention loss of habitat for many a species.
>>138998399

We provide you the raw material for a cheap, you manufactury it into products and sell back for us for a higher price. Then the government sanctions lots of taxes and the brazilian people buy products that are made with their raw material for a stupidly high price.
It is revolting beyond words.

Destroying trees to exploit resources are not the bad part of this story. There are already to many jungles in this country.

These trees take 100s of years to grow and require a particular ecosystem to grow in. Growing something to the scale of these forests could not be achieved by doing as you say. In any case, the level of biodiversity seen in the Amazon could not be replicated in human inhabited regions such as cities. Besides, when trees grow to a certain size they need to be cut down before the roots damage structures.

First of all, this image is of China, not of Brazil.

First because the Amazon is ours.

Second, because we have the best jungle army in the world, no one would dare say anything down here.

Third, we already have plans to send our most dangerous prisoners to special prisons within the Amazon

Fourth, these reserves are under the administration of FUNAI (An Organization of Left-wingers who say they care for the natives, but do deal with Biopiratas, Narco-traffickers of the FARC and ELN), and the Chinese were operating illegally there.

Fifth, we reforested much more of the forest felled by lumbermen. But I think Fake News shows no action on our government's behalf. The world sees us as a colony of exploitation, a country that only thinks of Anal sex, carnival, drug trafficking and Monkey Soup, when in the past we hit the British with the help of the Confederates in the Civil War

Sixth, The damn Cucks of Norway there have exploiters who were polluting our forest

Seventh, The Burguers have the Valley of the Silicon, Brazil will soon have the Valley of the Niobium and the Graphene.

No, was referring to:
>If faggots love jungle so much they can stop being hypocrites and plant their own in their backyard.

But you have a point, much larger amounts of land should be turned into forest in every country. Should be mandatory that a certain % of farmland should be reserved for forest.
>>
>>139007779
In that case, I'm sure that you will take our side on this war, since this exploitation is being done on your behalf. Yes, Burgerland is the world's top importer of illegal logging.

I remember seeing an interview with a bunch of Brazilian loggers and residents of a logging town on the rainforest border. Some of the things asked by the interviewere were like "How do you feel about cutting down the rainforest being bad for the environment?"

And the general consensus among the people and workers there, even some literally said "It's a shame that people in places like Europe will have a worse time/climate and not have clean air, but this is our livelihood so are we supposed to starve? Also it doesn't affect us so why should we care?"

I was baffled because it seemed like they genuinely believed that they existed in a vacuum or something and that they weren't part of the world's climate and ecology. Like to them, cutting all the rainforest down might make things worse for people in other parts of the world, but they'd be completely unaffected and completely fine.

I didn't expect to find so many tree huggers on /pol/. You know, there's such thing as sustainable development. Brazil is 2/3 unused land, with 520 million hectares covered with trees. You can't even fathom this number, Sven? Too much for you that's accustomed with your microcountries?
>>
>>139012123
Brazil already does a lot more than most countries in the world, and surely most than any other of comparable size. 90% of our energy comes from renewable and half of the cars run on alcohol, plus those already strict environmental laws we have. I don't see the point in further hindering our own development to please anyone. You guys fucked everything up, got rich and now are hampering the way of poorer nations to get wealth because 'muh world'. To each his own, mate.
>>
>>139012232
Ill admit that I fall into this mindset with forestry. Where I live, 90% of the stands are regenerated or planted, either on crown or private land. That shit isn't terribly valuable in terms of biodiversity, so if it keeps the mills running, keep cutting.

>I'm doing my bit for O2 production and water draining. Paving your garden with concrete is what subhumans do.
Wouldn't paving over grass be better overall for the environment? Unless you're letting your grass grow uncontrolled, mowing it just releases any carbon the lawn absorbs plus wastes gas on the mower.

Brazil also replants, where it's possible. But the problem is, rainforests are FAR more complicated to replant than temperate climate forests, since the nutrients aren't on the soil, but on the trees themselves. Rainforest soil is actually very poor.
>>
>>139012797
>To each his own

So you don't care that in part, you're contributing to your own potential demise?

>"It's all your fault though, not Brazil's."

Ah no, sorry, you said you exist in a vacuum. When the land turns to desert and the water to acid, and Brazil becomes unlivable, you can thank yourself and no other. Sure, the whole world might get fucked, tons of other countries might also become death wastelands, but we can only consider things on an individual basis. To each his own. I'm curious what your response would be if a neighboring country just started dumping toxic waste on the border and into the rivers which start in their country but flow into yours, or the groundwater you share. Don't worry about it though, it's not actually Brazil, or within it!
>>
>>139012951
>Wouldn't paving over grass be better overall for the environment?

Doing so would require putting additional strain on sewage system, unless you are willing to pay through your nose for concrete that let's water through its pores. Essentially speaking, this part of rainwater will be wasted instead of replenishing groundwater below.

Minister that is responsible for this particular project is not only the single minister renowned for his utter lack of redeeming traits, but he is also a massive christfag who does what he does to make a point that all of nature was created for the sole purpose of being human's bitch.

what i'm saying is, its not our fault if the world is going down the sink, and its not fair that we should be caring even more about the environment when its not us who's destroying everything since ever. If you guys care so much, maybe you could be planting some acres of forest or preventing the oceans to become a soup of plastic and garbage. I don't see it happening in any relevant country, save perhaps for japan.

Also about we 'affecting other countries', well thats simply not happening. Brazil and its neighbors have plenty of agreements on the subject, and we are not hurting each other.

>>139014250
to the man cutting the trees and the furniture factories, mostly. But whats nice about it is that it opens up a lot of fertile soil for farmers, and they are the ones that bring wealth to us all.
>>
>>139012951
Wasn't aware of that, you could be correct that it just releases the Co2 back. I was mainly referring to the trees for o2 production/Co2 mitigation, while the grass prevents run off from rain. Grass/soil provides sinkage for the rain and also helps in the nitrogen cycle IIRC. A big problem with cities is that the water doesn't have much places to go and excess run off if pumped into nearby rivers can cause flooding.
>>
>>139015105
>whats nice about it is that it opens up a lot of fertile soil for farmers, and they are the ones that bring wealth to us all
But this is what's totally unsustainable, since you have no regulations and let livestock raze the land and move on.
>>
My family owns a huge parcel of all the soy camps in northeast region covered by the amazon forest and the internal aggregated demand for our economy sector keeps growing 13% a year besides the economic crisis.
The amazon is mine and there is nothing you faggots can do about it, I pay huge taxes to keep the forestal military guard and governmental-funded ONGs claiming to protect the amazon soil, so I have to right to create jobs to my people based on OUR natural resources.

We barely gets affected by the climate change due our geographical position anyways, so I don't give a single shit.

Where are the farms?
On google I see wasteland in Brazil
In Africa the same wasteland
In Thailand I can see agriculture instead, whats also critical in my perspective
>>
>>139013804

It's a fairly common saying given the forest's role in taking in Co2 and replacing it with oxygen. No need to get into a pickle about who's phrase is more correct

http://www.bbc.com/future/story/20130226-amazon-lungs-of-the-planet
>>
>>139015915
Thailand is tiny next to Brazil, they have plenty of farm land and are good at it, they're not starving like the african niggers or they need lots of land for a shitty grain such as rice.
>>
>>139015458
we have plenty of regulations. Let me cite some:
>any forest bordering rivers in a 100-meter margin (iirc) can't be cut down
>every rural property has to keep at least 10% of its total area under native vegetation, this number increases depending on the region. It can reach about 80% in the Amazon
>Many species of trees can't be cut down, else the farmer goes to jail. It is also forbidden to hunt in many places to preserve the fauna.

What you refer as lawlessness happens only deep in the forest, where people cut down trees illegally, and in Indian reserves, which are basically separate countries which our laws are not applied (for example, indians can kill anyone that enters their lands)

Plus only about 10% of all our lands are being used for plantations, which is a very small number when you consider that we already produce more food than the US. The only problem is the livestock, which consumes about 20% of the lands because of sissy europeans that only eat cows who eat pasture and not rations.
>>
>>138996999
every other country has done it, brazil only gets shit in the current year because they held out on destroying their own forests for so long.
and surprise surprise its big wealthy countries telling them not to do it, even though deforestation in 1st world countries directly lead to their own prosperity.
almost like they dont want other countries to become 1st world either...hmmm....

Thailand at least use the land for a purpose
Whereas in Africa and Brazil trees often cut and the land is not used
>>

also let me point something i just remembered for you guys. The same fake news that lies to you everyday also lies about the "environmental catastrophe" that allegedly happens here. Why they do it? Because, and it is no secret for anyone that works with farming or brazilian economy, Brazil will become the main breadbasket of the world in the future, and this worries everyone that would simply be put out of competition (i.e. plenty of European farmers that lives by subsides). Our farming tech is advanced, the soil is mostly good everywhere, the only thing that hinders us is our poor infrastructure and all this environmental bullshit, which receives plenty of foreign capital to disturb peace and prevent projects from getting done. Seriously, the US is already at its peak on agroindustrial production, while Brazil is just beginning and already outweighs them. Give us time and stop bothering by financing greenpeace and those bandits the MST, and soon we'll be flooding the world with good quality farm products at inexpensive prices.

ASIA FOR THE ASIANS, AFRICA FOR THE AFRICANS, WHITE COUNTRIES FOR EVERYBODY!

Everybody says there is this RACE problem. Everybody says this RACE problem will be solved when the third world pours into EVERY white country and ONLY into white countries.

The Netherlands and Belgium are just as crowded as Japan or Taiwan, but nobody says Japan or Taiwan will solve this RACE problem by bringing in millions of third worlders and quote assimilating unquote with them.

Everybody says the final solution to this RACE problem is for EVERY white country and ONLY white countries to “assimilate,” i.e., intermarry, with all those non-whites.

What if I said there was this RACE problem and this RACE problem would be solved only if hundreds of millions of non-blacks were brought into EVERY black country and ONLY into black countries?

How long would it take anyone to realize I’m not talking about a RACE problem. I am talking about the final solution to the BLACK problem?

And how long would it take any sane black man to notice this and what kind of psycho black man wouldn’t object to this?

But if I tell that obvious truth about the ongoing program of genocide against my race, the white race, Liberals and respectable conservatives agree that I am a naziwhowantstokillsixmillionjews.

They say they are anti-racist. What they are is anti-white.

Anti-racist is a code word for anti-white.
