One of the death throws of the many swamp creatures thrashing about in the ever shrinking cesspit that is DC. A shutdown would be good for the people but terrible for them: citizens would see exactly how little work the Fed actually does and how much could be trimmed back because the US doesn't come to a screeching halt.

Does anybody even remember the last shut down? They had to post guards to keep people out of OPEN PARKS to convince the people it was bad. And all the .gov leeches still got paid for work they didn't do (not that they do much)
