Far-right groups usually attract dregs because in this society, it is seen as morally questionable to drift too far rightwards on the political spectrum. Therefore if you join a radical right movement you could very well lose your job, lose your friends, lose your family. That's why it mainly attracts people who already have nothing to lose. If the morality and the values of our era were shifted such that the far-right was brought closer to the center, you would see more normal people identifying with those values.
