Braveheart isn't redpilled at all. The Scots won at Stirling Bridge only on account of ignoring the rules of chivalry, and basically swamping the English/Welsh before they could fully cross the bridge and have a direct, fair engagement.

That's how the old chivalry system worked in European warfare. There was an honor code the English were following, and the Scots didn't, probably because as you pointed out, the Scottish soldiers were common folk.

In Medieval warfare, civilized European armies would line up, blow the trumpets, and go at it face to face like samurai. That's the only reason England lost.

Braveheart is a clownish film, portraying the Scots like these noble, proud warriors when it was the other way around, AND accusing the English of practicing Droit du Seigneur (Prima Nocte) when there's no historical evidence for this. I completely understand the instinct to root for the underdog and everything, and how it's a macho, non-PC type of film. But it's so blatantly unhistorical and vehemently anti-English.
