Why is it taking us so long to get back to the moon?

Because we are too fascinated with Mars

Mars is much easier to colonize than the moon, due primarily to the fact that it has an atmosphere.
nobody was in space ever
and on the moon
>>138521852
Its atmosphere is only 1% of ours. Its so thin that its hard to land because nothing slows it down on entry; landing objects is easier on the moon because of less gravity. Terraforming is scifi and will always be scifi.
There's no real need to go to the moon for the purposes of discovery.

Because Your Country no longer white anymore besides that there is no Nazi scientist to get a job done in "NASA"

The main benefit of Martian atmosphere is not for breathing, but for shielding from carcinogenic radiation.
>Terraforming is scifi and will always be scifi.
depends on what you mean by "terraforming". I agree that we will probably never make Mars look like Earth in this millennium. However, there is a relatively cheap and quick way to thicken the Martian atmosphere, simply by generating a ~1 T magnetic field at Mars's L1 point.

Its a good launching platform for other missions.

because there are fucking aliens on the backside of the moon you dolt... did you see the podesta emails???

CGI is expensive.
