when i was in high school, the teachers who spoke out were always steering us to the left. they are paid by the government, part of public unions and want a bigger state. same deal in university - livelihoods that depend on public funding want bigger government.
then the students themselves - they pay little to no taxes, maybe work minimum wage, and probably see themselves as having nothing so of course they want gibs too.
