I hate that fucking statue it is like someone resized an image in photoshop but got the ratios all wrong. It is wider than it should be very troubling to the eyes. I mean the concept is fine I guess, make it look like he is carved out of a mountain, bug goddamn he should be taller in those proportions and his head should be slightly bigger.

And why the crossed arms? should he have open arms in a loving embrace or pointing to the bright new future or something? The defensive arms crossed is just gross symbolism.

Homeless are always panhandling, but in thinly veiled ways. They cant just beg, they usally have a ruse (selling hats they got from shelters, asking for donations for handing you a free travel brochure, etc). I havent seen any actually bum it at the mall, though. They can easily go into the surrounding streets for that
