Protesters gathered in New York's Central Park on Saturday to demand the removal of a statue of a 19th century doctor who conducted experiments on African American women slaves.

Driving cars into catholic statues, tearing down innocuous statues that represented a historical period in American history, & now this; I am not going to argue that there are statues of Malcolm X, Lenin, or Stalin, - & that they should be "protesting" those statues because even if I disagree with these monoliths that represent an ideology, they still deserve to be recognized.
These people neglect context opting for emotional significance, which merges as a collective unconscious, which in turn forms group identity, once it becomes a group identity, it becomes an ideology - this ideology is pathological in the sense that it is akin to a viral infection suffocating anything it does not conform to (not even ideas that necessarily disagree with the dogma of the viral infection) it will keep tearing down these ideas in the name of pathos-centrism until there are no statues left to tear down.

I think this is quite valid. A large number of terrorist attacks in western countries appear to be performed by 20-somethings. Drawn to an alternative philosophy. And also the same towards antifa, white nationalism, BLM, handing out zines or general protesting
