DESU, I've long ago come to the conclusion that the White Nationalists are useful idiots for the GOP and even the Trump wing. They have no interest in passing any limits on immigration. They cracked down on illegals when Mexican migration was already dropping hard, and the GOP holds both houses but won't even come close to voting on the latest bill.
No prosecution of bankers, not under Obama, not under Trump.
Mostly it's just tax cuts for elites, fuck all of anything else. They aren't scared of the hard right because they know the demographics and public opinion are not there to carry it. /pol/ et al. have become a useful boogie man to keep people heeling to the neoliberal agenda.
Full communism will deeply scare them. There is a reason riot brigades come out to any anti-banker protest but could give to fucks about armed Black Panthers or Nazis marching down the street.

You are correct to an extent. They would rather have one of their own, like Clinton. Brexit and Trump was a blow. But so far Trump has been contained.
Look, in the US, the right wing party controls both houses of the Federal government, the Supreme Court, and the Presidency. They aren't passing any of the stuff they campaigned on.
When Obama first came in, the Left had the same deal, all of it was theirs. They never challenged the bankers.
Trump's pledge to reduce migration is the same as Obama's to end the Bush tax cuts and let taxes on the rich go up to redistribute wealth. Obama had the entire government and he kept the tax cuts. Trump is keeping the migrants. It's a sham.
They don't care about nationalists because they know they won't challenge existing structures. They just want to stave off migration, and they can't even bargain for that. Nationalist communism? That means the elites go down.
