Basically, they bundle something almost universally accepted, along with something that will definitely receive resistance.

Long story but I'll try to make it short.

I had a literal Marxist professor of Political Science in college. The guy was openly a Socialist/Communist and we would often butt heads in class discussions.

As usual, he would always resort to calling me names. Racist, sexist, call me a fascist, etc etc...

Over time I realized that there was no way that I could engage in any kind of rational discussion with him (and I also had to pass his class to graduate) so I just decided to troll the shit outta him.

I collected all of Uncle Ted's writings and read them thoroughly. I would write quotations of various things and wait for the right moment to say it in class to infuriate him.

Shockingly, sometimes he would AGREE with it. At the end of the semester I announced that I had been quoting Ted Kaczynski and his face turned beet red. He couldn't believe it.

There's more to it, but I'm trying to make this a short story. It was rather satisfying.

that's my conundrum. I know that technology has made us weak and complacent and will most likely be our undoing, but without the internet the corruption of the government would never be exposed to the level that it has been and I probably would have never even read Ted's manifesto in the first place.
