Can we have a Confederate statue thread, the current political climate isn't going to allow these statues to stand for much longer. And I wan't to see some of them in their natural context as they stand today. In front of courthouses, churches on civil war era cemeteries etc. Because let's face it even if they'll get salvaged and put in a museum (in the best outcome) that's not how they were standing for 100+ years.
I started this thread on /his/ but the leftypol mods showed their true colours and 404'd it.
I'd urge all southern Americans to take pictures of their local monuments now they still can.
