Left and right really pertains to economics. Leftists want a centrally planned economy (which they are conveniently in control of) and people on the right want a free market. If you go all the way to the left everyone is poor and starves (except the communist party officials who are fat). If you go all the way to the right people are slightly less poor, more people are fat, and some people get unimaginably rich.

The up and down relates to social authority. At the top the government controls everything including what words you can say and how you can dress. At the bottom you can blow dogs and nobody cares.

The main difference between left and right is that the left hates inequality and wants to minimize it, while the right thinks some amount of inequality is natural, possibly even desirable. If this makes the right sound evil, it's because you've fallen for the anti-thy propaganda. People obviously aren't all equal in ability. You wouldn't elect a literal retard to be president. The debate starts when we start to talk about how we should organize our societies given this fact.

The terms "left" and "right" appeared during the French Revolution of 1789 when members of the National Assembly divided into supporters of the king to the president's right and supporters of the revolution to his left.

Government allows itself to be corrupted, inefficient, and has no accountability. Capitalism spurs growth, quality, and jobs. If these college students would understand basic economics, they would understand this. But they have professors in the teachers union that pay gobs of money into the democratic party and brainwash students (victims) into a base. The other side of their base is more people (victims) that are fooled/raised into thinking that there is no way for them to get ahead in life and that white people are the sole reason why. I'm not a religious person, but this is a clear example of the "teach a man to fish" lesson. Before I continue, NOBODY thinks that we don't need cops, roads, or laws. The left will pretend that this is the only alternative to complete socialism.

The main problem is that both sides have special interests that invest shittons of money in exchange for laws to be slipped in to benefit the elite of whom are able to do so. Basically, this is the practice of lobbying. The great thing about President Trump, is that he showed that even a presidential campaign can be cost effective and intelligent, while not committing to backroom promises and favors. This election should be the breath of fresh air modern politics needed. But the MSM, who typically benefits from these underhanded alliances, have been using identity politics and flat out lies (see Russia conspiracy) to attack the President and his supporters/non-sjw.
