Actually wouldn't be a bad idea it would show that even after years of a long brutal war both side could still treat each other with respect. Unlike after say the end of the First World War both sides acted with dignity and mutual respect for each other.showing grant and other union leaders meeting with lee and other confederate leaders not as hated enemies but now as Americans ending a civil war could actually be a good statue.
