A nation is a genetic bond between people.

A state is a contract between different tribes to cooperate for mutual benefit. A state only works if its tribes believe it's impartial. If tribes start to think the state is rigged against them in favor of other tribes, they won't see it as legitimate, and an uprising will brew.

I think just about every tribe in America believes the state is rigged against them at this point. A civil war is inevitable.

If a major global depression throws the logistics out of whack it just compounds. Shit stops coming on time for the infrastructure projects means the roads don't get fixed which means even more shit stops coming on time ect. ect.
