Problem with plan a is how hard it is to broadcast that message (its nearly impossible) because the media will paint you as advocates of plan b. Also minorities will riot on a much greater scale.

That said, Confederate statues aren't worth defending, at least not with big angry torch rallies like that. We can't keep these things around forever, and the statues themselves aren't very informative about what really happened. Using symbols from a dead socialist movement from the 1930s only makes it worse.

I somewhat agree with this. I don't like seeing anything with historical relevance being destroyed. The left is falsely connecting the Confederacy with National Socialism, its intellectually dishonest and tears down the contextual aspect of the Confederacy. The real problem to me is when they start going after the Washingtons, Jeffersons, and Teddy Roosevelt statues.
