Even if said critics are half-serious. CS is less criticism than it is taking the piss. They do things like add a sin to Pirates of the Carribean because "Keira Knightley is not hugging my face with her legs right now."
Honestly, if you made a shitty flick, I can't imagine a greater honor for it than its own cs episode. It'll get the chance to make people who would otherwise dislike it laugh, and it gives you an idea of just how carefully someone in your audience might be paying attention to things you don't think they'll notice.

This. I haven't seen Kong Island but Anno's Godzilla was pretty fucking good. People actually banded together and defeated something that was threatening them. Yes, a single guy is appointed as a "director" but he doesn't just boss the people under him like in the west - he joins them, as if he's one of them. He has no ego that annoys the people around him. In Hollywood it would've been about a single "hero character", or two of them, tops.
Unlike in the west, where individualism thrives, the japanese care about the whole group. Tasks are a lot easier to do when you have somebody else to rely on. I've heard westerners call this mentality "herd mentality", but it's ultimately a good thing. The average japanese person is kind, polite and respectful - they aren't impolite, childrish, ignorant loudmouths like the Americans.

It's less about chimping out and more about how people take CinemaSins at face value rather than as pure comedy, and how while CS can and has made legitimate points in the past, a good portion of their comments are irrational or illogical.

For example, CS called it a sin that "Kong: Skull Island" made a match cut from one scene to another instead of showing a money shot of a guy being eaten. Would we have liked to have seen the guy getting eaten? Sure. But it doesn't make it a "sin" that they would cut away before it happens, especially given the matching cut.

I ain't even seen KSI, but I know that CS considers your movie shit regardless of anything you do. You'd all probably hate him too if he did a video on "Triumph of the Will". I mean, I would hate him too; that movie's great.
