I have that exact hair cut.. The barber was a bit skeptical when I showed him the photo, but it turned out great.

Only had positive feedback since I got it. Goes nicely with a clean shave if you have a strong jaw line.

Well, barbers (not hair dressers) are actually very talented. If you tell them specifically what you want, then they'll be able to do it. If you are able to show them a photo, that's golden.

I personally went with 6 different lengths from near the scalp to regular comb over on top and it just looks great.

I'm about 3 weeks since I last went and it still looks good. It requires some maintenance to get it to stay how I want it, and there are a few hairs near the top of my ears that are too long (like 0.03"), which lets me know that it's time to get it taken care of in the near future.

I like to keep mine short, especially on the sides because I'm not even 30 and my sides are grey if they get too long. 0 guard faded into a 1 guard on the sides. About finger length on the top. Essentially the same haircut I had when I was active duty, but I just don't get it cut as often because I'm in the reserve now.

Undercuts, what like you posted there just require too much maintenance for my liking, and they rarely look as good as you think they're going to.
