You are implying that, by thinking a Constitution is a list of amendments and not the framework for governance of a state. Its not just a list of random rights that were conceived (like the Bill of Rights which is PART of the American constitution but not the constitution its self) and the British constitution is based on 1000 years of trial & error, is the most legally advanced in the world but you're shitting all over it because "muh no guns."

>Anon says no guns, even though one of the bills in the picture specifically says Proddies can have guns
Because King James II had violated the right of Protestants to own guns. It was already legal that they could possess guns, but the BoR was not entrenched into law thus it could be "violated" - the right to bear arms comes from the Assize of Arms 1182, NOT the BoR 1689. That's your own misunderstanding of what a constitution is and what the BoR is that has led you to believe we have a second amendment like America.

A Constitution is the framework for the governance of a state, not a Bill of Rights. A Bill of Rights is what you're (indirectly) referring to. You don't want the American Constitution, unless you want to emulate how the American government is run (aka, become a federal republic). That's what I mean when I say you're misunderstanding what a Constitution is due to our Americanised our country is. Do some reading into our own constitution

>>137591072
>One of the bills says yes guns, but only for Prots
Yes, because you don't understand what the Bill of Rights is or was. The Bill of Rights in the American Constitution is entrenched and intertwined with the Constitution (which is written, unlike ours) and one of those amendments in the American Bill of Rights is the Second Amendment which is the right to bear arms.

OUR Bill of Rights 1689 was designed after a century of civil wars and two centuries of strained monarchical-parliamentary relationships and were a direct response to King James II disarming Protestants (his rivals). The ""right to bear arms"" in English law comes from the Assize of Arms 1181 but doesn't mention "...shall not be infringed" and is not entrenched into law like the Second Amendment in America is.

That is our constitution. You just told us what our Constitution is, what most constitutions in the world are, and told us it's "not real" because it isn't a singular document like America.

Name another country, without googling, besides from America which is governed by 1 single document. The circumstances of America's birth is the reason it ended up that way. Countries like ours, which evolved through centuries of wars, plagues, tyrants, overthrows, civil conflict, etc, are almost always unwritten and based on tradition/trial and error.

Eddie is right lad, jtterust read the first paragraph of wikipedia and see why this discussion is utterly retarded. It's people claiming we don't have a constitution but confusing a constitution with a Bill of Rights (which we have 100s of, just none entrenched).

from what I've read the past couple of minutes, the 10 amendments make up the bill of rights, which is part of the constitution. so there are other things that make up the constitution of america not wholly the bill of rights.

For us the pariliament can alter our constitution by passing new laws through parliament.

I get your point. A Constitution (noun) is not the same as constituted (verb) though. Every country is constituted (QED), not every country has a Constitution.
>>
>>137594052
But the issue with his statement is the right to bear arms in our Bill of Rights is vastly different to the Second Amendment of the United States, even though its our laws that the 2nd Amendment comes from.

We did have the right to bear arms in this country. Hell, gun rights come from England ironically. Citizen militias began in this country.
When the French invaded Britain at the Battle of Fishguard, it was armed citizens who repelled their attack. Until WW1, the TA was a citizens militia, until 1880 there were NO restrictions on firearms at all, until a license which cost 35 shillings was brought in, then the next century saw the destruction of the right.

However the BoR was simply a response to King James II who had disarmed Protestants, and it established the right was not to be violated (in the context of Catholics v Protestants). "The right to bear arms" (which wasn't entrenched, again) comes from the Assize of Arms 1181 and the Fyrd in this country.

>>137594336
>a body of fundamental principles or established precedents according to which a state or other organization is acknowledged to be governed.
Every country has framework for how its run, if it is a country and not just a disorganised state of collection of tribes. It has to, by definition. Bill of Rights are not constitutions which is what, not every country, has.

A Constitution is:

where as what these people think a Constitution is, because they're Americanized, is the Bill of Rights which is PART of the American Constitution (and the most quoted/well known part) and they substitute that for the Constitution as a whole.

Also, this can happen in America too. Just not as easily since they're entrenched. Our constitution is a collection of laws based on trial and error that have evolved over 1000 years. Like most in the world. Its based on precedent and legal rulings.

Our law is made via an evolutionary process of case law (judgements made in court), the most important of these become constitutional. This also works along side conventional precedent (tradition basicslly) and constitional statutes. If somethings been done the same way for a long time it's difficult to change it, assuming the electorate give a shit. It's good because it is constantly addressing areas of law overlooked by legislators and evolving with the tone of the public. It's an organic system that worked well for hundreds of years in a uniquely British way, but now we're just another globalist colony with no national identity we're seeing it start to operate in retarded ways.

Civil law is what filthy euros use, because they're to retarded to think ahead or allow a system to grow naturally, they just try and write everything they can think of onto a piece of paper. But get confused when things they didn't think of happen and then have a big argument and scrap the paper or draw all over it.

there is no requirement to be part of a club and even if you do join a (rifle) club, not every club has 6 month probationary periods, many have less. If you skeet shoot most places will let you use the grounds as a non member.

having to pay what is essentially like £1.50 a month for a FAC+SGC isn't a big deal, and if people are so put off by having to fill in a simple form and talk with a firearms officer maybe they shouldn't own firearms to begin with

In theory, the electorate. They should decide (via voting for their representatives) what they do and do not want to continue as law. In modern reality though, nobody gives a shit anymore and only vote based on tie colour, so retards like Lady Hale (president of the supreme court) make it mandatory for men to allow women to piss in their mouth to assert dominance, nobody will actually assert their electorate powers to reverse it and MPs are too busy ironing their ties to win best in show to give a shit.

But briefly (currently)
EU statute is primary to Parliamentary statute
Parliamentary statute is primary to common law

So if there is no statute then common law rules, but if someone disagrees with the common law they can address it via statute.

todays hexagram

Water on the mountain:
The image of OBSTRUCTION.
Thus the superior man turns his attention to himself
And molds his character.

Difficulties and obstructions throw a man back upon himself. While the inferior man seeks to put the blame on other persons, bewailing his fate, the superior man seeks the error within himself, and through this introspection the external obstacle becomes for him an occasion for inner enrichment and education.

so the monarchy as the component lets say;

"In legal theory, the Queen has absolute and judicially unchallengeable power to refuse her assent to a Bill passed by the two Houses of Parliament. However, convention dictates the precise opposite and in practice she automatically gives her assent to any government Bill that has been duly passed and agreed by Parliament."

so the queen automatically agrees to anything that IS passed, but it is up to her "opinion" to disagree with said thing that passed. Is that what danthekike should have said/specified?

>you can own centerfire rifles of whatever caliber you want, you can't own semi automatic centerfire rifles, although there are alternatives that are almost as good.
Utter fucking horseshit. In semi-automatic, centrefire rifles are ABSOLUTELY prohibited to .22 calibre. Bolt action firearms can be held in any calibre. The issue with .50 cal is (most) ranges are owned by the Armed Forces in this country.

>there is no requirement to be part of a club and even if you do join a (rifle) club, not every club has 6 month probationary periods, many have less. If you skeet shoot most places will let you use the grounds as a non member.
You sound like you're repeating things I've said ITT before lad, but taking them out of context. There is an absolute requirement to be a member of a gun club, it simply isn't in a rule book but ALL FEO's will consider it mandatory - this excludes all form of hunting or even Armed Forces service, and gun club's probationary membership (which you'r eright, isn't always 6 months - it can be 9 months long) is mandatory.

>having to pay what is essentially like £1.50 a month for a FAC+SGC isn't a big deal,
That's a co-terminous firearm certificate and its £65 every 5 years, no? No, it isn't expensive, but on your first go-around, most people spend upwards of £5000, because you can't re-apply before your renewal period without hastle. Some can spend upwards of 10k if they're .50 cal shooter sfor example.

>if people are so put off by having to fill in a simple form and talk with a firearms officer maybe they shouldn't own firearms to begin with
This is an absolute farce of a system. You must apply for a firearms certificate, get a signature from a "standing member of the community" (a doctor, a member of parliament, a judge, etc) which is hard enough alone, select firearms you want to buy in the hopes it isn't too much, select reasons for owning each, go through an inspection process with the FEO after bolting a gun locker to the

You're spreading disinformation about Firearms Certificates, which sound like things I've said ITT quite ironically almost word-for-word in places just taken out of context, but not only that, you're propping up a failed system of firearm obtainment.

We have the worst firearm laws in all of Europe. Way below what is mandatory under EU law.

When I say "the public" I mean the public at large. Convincing an individual is much easier. Convincing the groupthink to change is way harder.

"Equality" is the new religious belief. If you go back 100 years and you try and convince everybody en masse that God doesn't exist, they'd hate you. To them, a belief in God was seen as necessary in order for society to be stable, and to not collapse.

Same with "equality". That's why people believe in it - because they believe it's essential to keep society going. And I guess it is. Like I said, denial of it would provoke chimp outs, and whites would suddenly have to defend themselves.

It's straight up dishonest to claim we have "gun rights" in the UK but amongst other things,
1. Claiming co-terminous firearm certificates are 1.50 a month
2. Claiming you can own center fire of whatever caliber you want (absolutely incorrect)
3. Claiming there is no requirement to be part of a gun club and claiming probationary membership (in some) is less than 6 months.
4. Misrepresenting what SGCs/FACs are (nicknames). An SGC is part of an FAC. They're divided by sections.
5. Claiming "there are alternatives that are almost as good" - which is rubbish. Name one. The only thing that emulates automatic weapons (still in .22 calibre) is fast bolt-action firearms.

Firearm rights being taken away is a seperate issue, one I'm very passionate of. I started the start buying guns pasta m8 but advocating to remove 1000 years of legal process and replacing it with a soulless and modern entrenched constitution is not a solution and shows complete disregard to the most legally developed system in the world. We have processes in place to remove gun legislation, some systems in the world don't even have the ability to do something as simple as that without declaring some guy Dictator.

the majority of the British public are proud of the Empire, as says polling. That means there would be opposition if a bunch of slimey students tried to do this stuff. The U.S. situation is different as I'm sure not many people are proud of their confederate pasts. Some maybe, but not a majority.

Yeah, another big difference is how judges makes decisions.
A judge in a common law system will refer back to previous judgments on similar issues and derive judgment from that. In civil law the judges aren't able to think fighting themselves because they're stinking frogs/frog inspired mongs and need to refer to the how to guide written by the current government. Obviously the government, especially a filthy frank Republic, can't predict every area of law that will come into dispute, but euro judges are about as intelligent as those little roomba style robots you got in school when you programed it to drive around the class room, if it isn't on the programme they have a melt down and need to wait for new input.

>1. the price of a coterminous certificate is £90 in my area, which is £1.50 a month
I think you just mean a Section 1 or 2 solo, are £90. Co-terminous firearms (a Section 1 & 2) is £65 nation wide.
>2. what caliber of centerfire rifle is explicitly banned?
Center fire is banned in the UK FULL STOP. The fact you don't know that makes me question your knowledge.
>3. club membership isn't an explicit requirement for an FAC, if you own land and want to shoot for pest control you don't need to be part of a club, and not all clubs require a mandatory 6 month probationary period
That's not true what so ever. Again, Armed Forces service does not even exclude mandatory gun club membership. It's not in a rule book because there is no rule book, these are the prerogatives of a FEO and having passed probationary membership (6-9 months) is mandatory. FEO's even call up your club and contact them regularly.
> this is just asinine nitpicking, the majority of the community refer to them separately as SGCs and FACs, even police websites do
It isn't. An SGC is a "shotgun certificate" which is permitted by a Section where as it comes UNDER an FAC (A Firearm's Certificate) which is the overall name.
>5. look up the MARS vz58 or the SGC 308 lever release
That's "almost as good as automatic weapons"? They are bolt-action (straight pull) firearms which are designed for a European market to emulate automatic firearms by pulling quickly, because they're bolt action it also allows outside of .22 calibre usage.

That was my thought as well, it's so easy just put your points across in the form of comedy because then they don't have to be very deep or well thought out and if anyone tries to criticise them they are accused of not being able to take a joke.

Some do it under the misguided belief that they are helping and get off on the feel good factor that this gives them "helping the little guy". Others do it for more sinister reasons.

Now stop asking questions in an attempt to try and discredit, it won't work because every question you have has an answer, you just won't look it up. By default you've lost the argument you're attempting to stir up.

We can advocate for a Personal Protection Weapon style system in Northern Ireland, of which there are 6000 licensed. These are given out to farmers threatened by animal rights activists to name one menial reason. They allow concealed carry (and home ownership), and this would be in response to recent attacks.

Allowing ownership of handguns, having all legislation written down instead of scattered across a centuries worth of broken legislation, loosening the app system (not requiring gun lockers to show trust, removing signatures, etc) would also be a good start. We can also drop calibre restrictions but also put section 1 and 2 under 1 banner.

will answer in next thread if you want to go in-depth on this, but the Monarchy being above Parliament is 100% necerssary to our system. The imbalance we're faced with now is a direct result of allwing the supremacy of parliament, which is a very slow process that lasted centuries.

>>137600421
Not really, the electorate votes for whoever offers them the "cut immigration" carrot. I don't think the people are to blame for desperately trying to change things for what they are led to believe is for the better whilst trying to avoid violence.

I think in the end violence will be used as a last resort, hopefully not but it most likely will if governments carry on down the path they are going. They are essentially backing the people into a corner with very little options left. A backed animal has two choices, just die or attempt to fight.

Bolt action and semi automatic are the only forms allowed, and centerfire is banned in both. Calibre is not, for bolt action.

Might be true. I very much doubt it since our version of the NRA sets the standard at 6 months. But not one I'm particular concerned with.

Actually, although the justice system in my Nation sucks... we still have judges who, under "civil law" claim precedence and costume as factors. Not all "civil law" is "napoleonic" a lot of "roman" and "germanic" traditional "civic law" still survives...

But yeah... our justice sucks.
