>explain why you don't watch news programs
>Explain why you watch "commentary shows"
>Examples: Infowars, everything Breitbart, everything cnn, fox, or MSNBC, and daily show (which I love, as ENTERTAINMENT)
>Commentary shows are entertainment, echo chambers, that only tell you what you want to hear
>Prove you are actually informed (news), and not emotionally manipulated (commentary)

German media is controlled by the government and we must even pay for it
The only news I occasionally watch is local news. I read "articles" from various sites when they're posted to glean opinions, but I don't always take them seriously.
I avoid watching MSNBC, CNN, FOX, et al.

Most articles are also commentary unless you're getting them from a source genuinely trying to be non biased (npr and pbs do a great job at bringing on opposing views and keeping things civil, evidence based, and logical even though their funding comes from several liberal sources). Most articles are fear mongering regugitations of the news.
