Im America mobs/violent protests attacking cars is a problem. If you ran into a crowd blocking a highway for instance and they struck your car you immediately can run them over for fear of your safety.

However there is murder charges that reflect the idea that you cant be innocent if you put yourself in a situation that was likely to go to shit weather or not that situation could have the expectation of legal violence.

For instance if you start a bar fight or are seen to go looking for one and you knock a guy out and he hit his head on a stool or something on the way down and dies you can get fucked.

So it depends on how much his car was attacked and how he got there in the first place. Did he purposely choose to go through this problem area? Did he have to go through here to get out? How much did his car get attacked by the people?

Also just because he might be found liable doesn't mean the people who got hit or attacked his car were not liable. So dont think that the violent demonstrators being guilty means he somehow isnt.
