I have not been passed by for college, or for a job or anything. I haves seen it in the general arts and humanities. Anybody that is white is seen as inherently racist, and even if not racist, then they have "problematic" beliefs and values. In community college I applied to the same school as a Latina for the same program except I had better grades. She got in. I did not.

Later in 4 year college, I talked about my job the the class, and my teacher told me I got my job because I'm a white male.

Classmates can cry openly about Trump in class. I cannot state my political views.

I have the qualifications to find a job in hardware/software engineering, or a research position at my university, but haven't been able to find any despite applying to literally dozens of positions. Finally, in terms of representation, I agree and disagree. White men are demeaned in media when they are represented explicitly as "white". But white men are still heroes, leaders, noble, etc, without the racial context. For example, one piece of media will say "haha look at those stupid bigoted white males" while another piece will be a heroic portrayal of George Washington, who is a white male but the fact that he's a white male is not made an issue of (and yes while Washington does get shitted on in leftist circles from time to time, he's still a heroic figure in the mainstream).

Here's one. I was flipping through a pamphlet and applying for scholarships as I entered uni. The scholarship I ended up getting required a 29 score on the ACT worth 20 grand. I scored a 32, something like the top 1%.

I go to race based scholarships out of curiosity, and there's a $25,000 dollar scholarship for black students if they score a 23 on the ACT which is average or even below average.

As an employers who ran a general contracting and contracting business working in commercial and institutional/governmental construction, there were many times when I could not hire white men because I needed the necessary quota of women and minorities to get contracts from the state and federal government.
