I hate old people who force themselves into relevancy.
For example, every company that I have worked for or done business with has the original owner/founder who is in his 70's or 80's that refuses to retire.
"What would I do all day?" Is a reason I'm generally given on the occasion that I ask.
Is there a term for very old people who have the means to retire, yet refuse to because they don't know what else to do with themselves?
In my personal opinion, situations such as this are far too common, and pollute/slow down the overall business climate.
I feel like this is also relevant in politics, obviously. Seeing as we have many elderly senators who refuse to ever resign, and our president-elects have never been much to youthful, either.
What are /pol/'s thoughts on this?
