As usual, /pol/ is in an uproar, shills are polluting threads, everyone is calling everyone else a kike-funded cia plant, Canadians are being a blight to the internet, and our wonderful little echo chamber is thrown into disarray because the alt-right has lackluster leadership when we venture out of our mother's basements.
To slowly bring things back into consensus, I'm posting Vox Day's initial thoughts on Charlotesville.

Here's the notes:
-The UniteTheRight gathering ranged from extremely successful to shooting yourself your own foot.
-Symbols work. They are memes for normies who go outside. Use them. If something has great optics or is super effective, use it again. If something turns off people or is ineffective, stop using it.
-Torches are badass. Do more torchlight marches. Hell, do a torchlight march on Google. This terrifies the left like you can't believe. It's fantastically strong optics.
-Nazi shit turns off normies who are otherwise amenable. The left is calling you a nazi b/c they know it is effective to a degree. Giving them pics of your throwing up the roman salute and shouting nigger makes their narrative effective. Clinging to overt nazi imagery is playing into your enemy's hands. Don't play into your enemy's hands.
-"HURR DURR WE'RE GONNA REMOVE THE STIGMA OF NAZISM" You've been trying for 20 years and you've been spinning your tires on that tactic as well as spinning your tires as a movement. How much time do we have left as a culture? Can we really spend more trying to make uncle adolf cool again? We are spending a ton of time and energy trying absorb a rhetorical blow that the left utters without a single effort. That's a bad use of our resources.

-Scout locations you protest. Charlotesville and Berkley had a common factor - leftist mayors/city councils who control the police. Do not protest in enemy territory and think that the police will be on your side. Stay in friendly territory unless necessary to do otherwise.
-Never count on the police to be on your side. They aren't. They aren't on Antifas side. They are on the establishments side. Be able to protect yourself.
-Lift, learn to fight. The culture war is a cold civil war, but there will be violence. The other side will not disappear because you held a super cool march. The alt-right genuinely doesn't understand this yet.
-Confrontation with Antifa is largely pointless outside of making you look badass when you stomp them. But it could be bait to give police a reason to start arresting. Be smart.
-"HURR DURR HITLER TRIGGERS SJWS" Triggering ppl is a tactic, not a strategy. Not a goal. if you base all you do around a tactic, you will fail (e.g. the left calling everyone racist and losing the election). There's a time and a place for triggering, but it will not win the culture war. When Lenin and Trotsky were planning to overthrow the czar, they didn't think about how to trigger the czar's supporters.' Saying triggering is your main goal is childish.
-This is a very real fight. The alt-right, like conservatives, tends to talk big but are not really be prepared to get hit in the face. But we are learning.
-Look to warhammer for symbols.

Recommendation: Look at what has worked in history, look at what has not worked. Apply those lessons. "All you have to do to win is speak the truth, refuse to back down, and let the historical trends play out. GenZ WILL move right because they suffer from multi-racial America more than any previous generations. The more you experience diversity, they less you like it. Boomers loved diversity because they never knew it." Ride the trend and win, fight the trend and lose. The trend is nationalism and identity politics. Aligning yourself with a 70-year dead Teutonic imperial supremacy, you're going to fail. Because they failed and they had a lot more advantages than you do. So that is a horrendous and stupid strategy, so give it up."
The left is constantly stuck in 1965 Selma. We can easily beat them, so long as we don't get stuck in 1930's Germany. The future is new. Exploit that. BLM created symbols very quickly and effectively...and they weren't even that good ("Hands Up Don't Shoot"). We can do better, even if we don't have Huge Boss uniforms.
