Nah I get what you're coming from, it's obviously just semantics to focus on "stretching or creating". It's only relatively recently that I've become to understand how communists behave and how they've routinely ended up as so astonishingly murderous and how viscerally insane and sociopathic they can be (@tankietanks is a great exhibit of "tankie" depravity, even though I think the person who runs it is a leftist themselves.)

And for what it's worth, when I was younger, I actually used to be sympathetic to democratic socialism. The kind of people I've seen drawn to the DSA on twitter and elsewhere has made me realize they're not much different than outright tankies (and they rub shoulders with them constantly.)
