There are only three real options:

1. Either prevent it through the means of force, e.g. government.
2. Persuade (non-violently) others to follow your ideals, i.e. encouraging races to stick with their own.
3. Mind your own business and hope that such things are temporary or of minor consequence.

I personally find that the left and right's focus on race or social problems, whether to be for or against, is a pointless squabble and scapegoat against the economic and social policies put in place by our government.

For example:
Black people are still poor after welfare:
Left: It must be the ongoing effects of racism still afflicting them. We must give them more and fight against whites.
Right: Despite all the welfare, they're still poor and causing violence. They must be disposed to violence. We must remove or segregate them.

Both these arguments ignore trends of economic and social improvement before welfare. And I think the issue in this example is that welfare itself just doesn't work and subsidizes their poverty while propagating a violent culture.
