That isn't the problem. The problem is that they created countries where none existed. Before arbitrary borders were formed tribe A and tribe B fought, but they fought fairly. After arbitrary borders were formed whichever tribe had a majority in the country had political dominance, if tribe A makes up 70% of the population than tribe B now has zero political influence and no means of protecting their own interests since endemic warfare is illegal and their votes have no value since they are a minority.

So tribe B does the only thing they can do, they revolt and probably carry out genocide against tribe A so that even if they lose they will have more political influence after the conflict ends since they will make up a larger percentage of the population. Our festivals/celebrations/organisations are fine because they aren't built around hatred of others. They're built around the achievements of their race, their culture; what they built. Because we have achievements. We have culture - and lots of it - to celebrate.

The very term "Afro-Caribbean" proves that African culture was preserved and maintained. Creole languages. Reggae and Calypso music. Steel Drums (arising out of the evolution of African precussion). Rastafarian culture. Caribbean cuisine. All of this is evident of black culture, but NONE OF IT is celebrated by Black Lives Matter and other such organisations. Afro-Caribbeans don't have BLM because they know who they really are, what their culture is, and are proud of it.
