Degeneracy is a term to describe a self destruction, resulting from a disregard for the laws of the wild conditions.
Why would nakedness or certain sexual practices automatically regarded degenerate, when closer to the wilderness peoples than us practiced them. For example some African tribes where particularly lewd in our eyes...
How can we as a civilization say it's degenerate?

Degeneration means deviance from a certain type (de-, genus). In Mathmatics it means that some parameters of a structure have assumed extreme values that result in the particular structure belonging to a different category of structures. Degenerate sexual behaviour would be e.g. cases that do not result in procreation; procreation being the evolutionary purpose of such behaviours. Irrespective of this I would generally not call the behaviour of a life-form that is dominating in its particular niche degenerate.
