Does the Charlottesville rally strike anyone else as controlled opposition?
I mean, it's an unsubtle and deliberate attempt to emulate the Hitler movement, which isn't necessary in America or anywhere else. Furthermore, they now have the faces of hundreds of Spencer fans who, if identified, will have this hanging over them for the rest of their lives.

I'm not saying you can't find a way to act on your beliefs, but if you get identified at something like this you're likely to lose your job and find it very hard to get another one.

People lose their jobs all the time for less than Charlottesville. Yes, the trends are changing and people in general are becoming more right-wing, but it always takes longer for the institutions of society to catch up with popular opinion.
