Lots of stuff is accurate and from around the time of jesus. Lots of stuff is added later. It's a cool and interesting topic and you should look outside of pol. Google should help you find sources. Videos of theologicans and historians explaining their theories and findings. There is also a special bible for people studying theology where they look in depth at etymology and give sources and explain what is translated from what etc. I forget its name but youll find it if you want it.
