Honestly /pol/ do the Chinese think they have ANY chance at beating the US in a war?
In the korean war, US forces were able to split NKs military into by entering through seoul. They were able to push all the way past NKs capital all the way to the Chinese border and only fell back because it was against UN mandates for the US to conquer another nation. During the retreat, for every 1 american soldier that died, 10 chinese soldiers died.
Present:
US:
11 aircraft carriers in service
The average US soldier carries $18,000 in gear (give or take)
The US has the Darpa program for developement of miliatary technology
China:
a aircraft carrier, which was donated to them by Ukraine
The average chinese soldier carries $1,500 in gear (give or take)
knock-offs of what the US makes (though xi has stated he wants china to have their own version of darpa)
India, Vietnam, SK , Australia and Japan would side with the US in a war between the two countries
how does china even have a chance?
The war would end in a stalemate. China can't get past our navy, and the US can't occupy China. Best case we can blockade China, starve them into submission.
