Western countries got rich by introducing pluralistic goverment systems, where people got a chance to compete with the aristocrats and monarch that used to control everything. Once people got property rights and intellectual rights and trade rights, the nation as a whole got rich. Exploiting other nations just helped in this process, but it wasnt the decisive outcome.

It worked perfectly fine until the 1990's when the Clinton's opened up NAFTA and China.
If you want to go back further and claim that wasn't when things changed, look at the USA before the federal reserve act replaced tariffs as the primary source of revenue for the US govt with income taxes.
It works just fine, a balance of trade and protectionism is proven to work and frankly with such a system, labor has a stronger point of leverage due to the lack of outsourcing, 3rd world imports and immigration.

National socialism isn't socialist. Its not marxist and theres no remnance of marxism involved. Fascism pretty much has a free market economy except the government reserves the ability to intervene in the economy if goldstein creates a dildo shop or if there is anything seen as bad for the population. Its not a welfare state and it isn't marxist socialism. The only reason the word socialism was used was because there wasnt any alternative word. Things like universal healthcare and shit can exist but its in the name of benefiting your people and not equality shit.
