My grandpa (fatherside) came to germany in the late 60's for work, invited by the government.

Actually many countries invited Turkish people for work, my grandpa (motherside) even went to Kuweit and Libya on numerous occasions to work in the oilfields, settling down for farming with these unbelievable amounts of money(dollars ) he made additionaly buying huge swaps of land back in Turkey.

I've been to Turkey, and yes....it's a shithole.

I often find the tourist spots are either nice or super shitty. Like there is no middle ground.
As for the people.... older generations are tolerable and only want whats best for the country.
Younger generations are absolute trash who have no respect for law and land in ANY country they're in (Whether its Turkey or Germany etc).
