Why isn't weed legal in the US? It makes no sense to me. Even NK has legal weed, states where it's legal make billions in tax revenue off it, it's safer than alcohol and tobacco, it's a booming industry, the founding fathers fucking grew it, and plus it'll help remove power from the mexican drug cartels.
Is there like an actual reason it's not legal that isn't just big pharma lobbyists or christfag paranoia? Even if you think weed is bad for you or addictive it's far better than current legal alternatives.

Because (((they))) make millions off of the pharmaceutical industry and private prisons

Enjoyment comes from working on government projects and stimulating the economy, not from drugs!!

If you are a degenerate, please smoke a cocaine while injecting meth to vein.
CIA is still confused about what to do with the whole Drug war problem.
I think it will be legalized on the federal level in our lifetimes.
Don't expect coke/heroin legalization any time soon though, CIA will not easen their grip on their main source for lunch money.

By (((they))) you mean white conservatives?

high people don't want to do bullshit tasks.
bullshit tasks = blue collar work/entry level white collar work.

I can understand coke and heroin. Weed is no more harmless than tobacco though.

You could use a similar argument for alcoholics, neets, and painkiller pillheads. It's up to the individual to be responsible with their vices, the government shouldn't punish everyone because some people have no self control.

Fuck so it really is lobbyists and pharmaceuticals. Not too surprising.

More people are becoming open to it though, even many Republicans/right wingers. It's only the older generation really strongly against it. Medical weed is legal in most states.
