"White supremacists" is a term currently used to describe normal white people who want to have the right to exist, same as everyone else. No amount of mental gymnastics is going to erase this fact. If liberals and the left always claim to be on the 'right side of history' and refer to the masses as always being 'us' and 'we' why are they so afraid of a tiny handful of white males having a protest that goes against their ideological position?

Surely if you were so secure in thinking that you really had the majority on your side and spoke for all but the tiny minority then you wouldn't care about a few hundred whites with tiki torches? If you really felt like everyone was on your side you wouldn't care about them because they'd be an anomaly that'll eventually fizzle out without anything to react against.

But no, you get ever-increasingly more defensive. bitter and angry at the handful that speak up against your sense of certainty that everyone is with you and your beliefs. Those aren't the actions of a group really secure and in control. They're the actions of one that's afraid and insecure that every new workplace manifesto and public rally is another chip away from their ideological supremacy and breeds even more dissent from those usually shamed, bullied and threatened into shutting up and accepting it as the new normal.

You're losing your grip and that lingering fear in the back of your mind that you might not be on the 'right side of history' is starting to keep you awake at night, that's what's really happening.
