A proper education should include grammar, logic, and rhetoric as the foundation. This is known as the trivium. Built upon that base should be the study of arithmetic, geometry, music and astronomy. This is known as the quadrivium. Finally the study of philosophy should serve as the capstone. This is the only way you will be able to create citizens who think and act right.

All these arguments over STEM and STEAM are nonsense. They serve as a distraction to make those who major in the hard sciences think they don't need a proper education and make those in the arts think their abortion of Marxist studies qualifies as a real education.
