I see this a lot. Some Christian committed some sin against another Christian, and the news and comments act all outraged that the 'crime' wasn't reported to the police and was instead resolved internally. Once upon a time, when Christians ruled all of Europe, if someone in your community sinned against you just worked it out with them and the priest, the spiritual authority. If the sinner didn't repent and ask for forgiveness, then he didn't get communion and got shunned by the community.
But then Atheists, Marxists, and Freemasons take over society and demand that Christians report each other every time something bad happens. Um, no sweetums. Back before Christians ruled, the pagans that did rule Europe crucified Christians and fed them to lions, Christians didn't report to non-Christian authorities then, and we're not going to do it now either.
Being a Christian is about recognizing the reality that we are all sinners and we're going to hurt each other at some point in some way, and we have to love and forgive despite that to lead better lives and build better communities. We're not 'hypocrites' for refusing to submit ourselves to be judged by non-Christians who hate us and would abolish our religion and communities if only they could. We're sorry we can't satisfy your sadistic urges to see us punished, but whatever problems we have with each other we will sort out internally. Yes, that even includes molestation by priests.
You can continue being jealous that we don't have to worry what other people think while you do, it doesn't bother us. Just use your heads a bit and stop acting like it is incomprehensible that we sort out our own problems ourselves and don't take each other to be punished by you losers.
