They rose to success without public funds. Public funds they receive are minimal, granted in exchange of certain compromise against their business interests and given to any other tech companies under the same conditions.

Exactly. In fact, one of the most important features of free market is that you're free to but or NOT somebody's product or service. If Google isn't good service enough we can choose not to fund it and use some other search engine, simply not use any of their products.
The bad thing is that clueless normies won't change their habits...

>"What is a 'Monopoly'
In business terms, a monopoly refers to a sector or industry dominated by one corporation, firm or entity.

Monopolies can be considered a extreme result of free market capitalism: Absent any restriction or restraints, a single company or group an enterprise becomes big enough to own all or nearly all of the market (goods, supplies, commodities, infrastructure and assets) for a particular type of product or service. Antitrust laws and regulations are put in place to discourage monopolistic operations – protecting consumers, prohibiting practices that restrain trade and ensuring a marketplace remains open and competitive.

"Monopoly" can also be used to mean the entity that has total or near-total control of a market."

Since when is supporting a system = supporting anyone who can be remotely defined as practicing under that umbrella. Google are surveillance hungry, thought policing, agenda pushing so-called techie types flexing their pitiful muscles as if their actions are unquestionable. They're little more than a private company who could crumble at the behest of the consumer, they're not the first company to rub people wrong, nor should they be protected ostensibly due to their place as their information giant of our age. They're just people with some hardware, not the oxygen you breathe or the water you drink, they're essentially non-essential, some simply can't grasp their existence is tertiary, so they let their egos spiral out of control. A la, the notion google is beyond reproach.

Yes. That is how a free market works. If you don't like something, you can simply not use it. Unfortunately for us, Google has a near monopoly on search engine, video sharing, email, and internet advertisement. Making it more difficult to avoid using their products. Hence the consumer coordination on /pol/ to find alternatives to Google and its subsidiaries.

If the state were doing one of its actual jobs (preventing monopolies) instead of nannying niggers on welfare we might not have to go to such lengths to avoid using it.
>>
>>136968969
Nope you got the wrong person. I hate oil companies and kike car makers too.

The most important part about free market is that companies are held accountable by their customers. We have the free right to boycott Google as we see fit in order to encourage them to change their practice. Free market doesn't mean compulsive consumption, it means the ability to choose what to consumer and allow survival of the fittest to improve services. Thus an issue arises when a company has a practical monopoly on a service (search, maps, youtube) and then is enabled to do as it pleases; and as customers, we have the freedom and right to demand change.

The definition of monopoly doesn't require the state or force. A monopoly is simply a single entity completely dominating a market or industry. Google doesn't quite fit this definition, since there are a few, very small, competitors. The control they exert over the internet, however, is extreme. They dominate in nearly every major aspect of internet use, and have nearly defacto control over who succeeds and fails because they serve nearly all advertisements.

Google is very careful to have a few competitors in every market to avoid being an easy to prosecute target. But most of these competitors is beholden to Google through its advertisement system. So it is still safe and in control.

tl;dr Google extreme control over the internet, but in such a way as to make itself nearly impossible to prosecute under Monopoly laws.

In a real free market when a company sniffs the packets of every single router in the country the resulting class action bankrupts the company.

Google, like Hillary Clinton, is consistently above the law and that is their competitive advantage.

Leave it to a leaf to have no ide what the free market is.

Google is going to take a hit, because users will VOLUNTARILY take their business elsewhere.

Google's South Carolina base is currently begging for access to State water for their cooling towers, guess what our conservative politicians are going to do. hint:tell them to eat shit for coming out as biased against conservatives.

Free Market is full effect, not that a dog fucking canadian would understand that.
