What would stop the Chinese from pouring soldiers into the North

What would stop the Chinese from pouring soldiers into the North with Nork uniforms and equipment and fighting alongside them like the original Korean War?

Even when the Americans discovered they were doing it when they hit the Yalu river the Chinese said they were "volunteers" separate from the Chinese military.

I don't imagine modern China would want to risk the loss of face if it was found they were sending regular army soldiers to fight for North Korea, who are as internationally popular as AIDS. They're not the same hardline Soviet-style communists they were in the 50's.

I wouldn't be surprised if they'd send a few high level officers and "advisers" to gather intel on how the Americans/Western armed forces operate though.
